SCOOPie at war.

The SCOOP Poker Tournament is coming in the first half of May.

I might play in event 33 ($22 and $215 NLO8) and event 36 ($22 and $215 HORSE). I would also like to play in event 6 ($109 PL 5-draw) and event 25 ($22 and $215 7-Stud H/L), but it is during the work day so I don't know if it will be feasible.

My last MTT glory was 16/2091 in the $215 HORSE in 2008 in WCOOP-18. Maybe I can make even bigger glory this year.

Decimated my account.

Lost $2300 in 30/60 Stud and Stud H/L.

Should have listened to myself.

That hurt.

Nice break.

I had a nice break from poker.

When I got back though ... I had an early hot spell at NL($1) and was up $300, then everything went wrong and I quit it a small winner, and moved to Stud H/L, where I lost at 3/6, then lost at 5/10, then lost at 10/20, then lost at 30/60, and was down about $800, then I won 3 hands and after all of that torture I was up a tiny amount.

I think I am just going to grind VPPs, because gambling and the swings of regular poker do not provide me enjoyment, so I mine as well just make a little money.

Unreal events: Stud & H/L.

I just experienced possibly the biggest BS I ever experienced in online poker. I lost on 8/9 tables, and got drawn out on about 20/25 times in 3/6 and 5/10 Stud and Stud H/L. Total was about $370, and I am very angry about it.

Maybe I should take a week off from online poker.

The last 3 days of poker...

were ugly.

I did make a bit of a comeback today which reduced the pain somewhat. $820 of the loss is from NL($1) full ring over 4k hands. The other limits were +$170 over 12k hands. The only good news is that I am back on 300k VPP pace. I also played a bunch of Stud, NLO8, Stud H/L, FLO8, 5-draw ... but was approximately even over all of those games. I paid a stellar $1,004 in rake from NLHE alone over the last 3 days (and I got a $100 stellar rewards!?).

Burnout.

Got a bit burned out from poker, and I took my second day off this year yesterday.

I had been playing a lot of micro limits and non-holdem, because the feeling of being a winner has been more important than the actual money that I am winning. This is really sad and it is just a waste of time. I have a lot of other monetary stresses right now, between the financial markets, rental properties, and most importantly I can't figure out how to do my taxes for the first time ever (I worked for 1 year at H&R Block about 10 years ago, but I was never good with the Depreciation form).

I had over 300k VPPs last year, and now that they made the reward a lot larger I was hoping to get 300k VPPs again this year. I hope the burn out goes away and I can also go back to playing the small limit games instead of the micro limits.
