January Summary.

It sucked.

Anyway, here are the totals:
+$400 ring games (89k hands, 88 hours, 1500 below EV)
+$1500 SNGs (215 SNG, mostly HU, est. 50 hours)
+$500 deposit bonus/stellar rewards
-$1100 razz, 5-draw, PLO, LO8, 7SHL etc.

Total: $1300

Other Stuff:
I wasted $1000 of my rakeback on MTTs (2-$215s, $530, $27, $13.5).
I have $160 in FPP value (10,000 netted).
I also have 50% cleared the $650 bonus.
Earned 30,014 VPP so on pace for the 300,000 VPP bonus.

Almost done.

I am beginning to lose all interest in poker. It just doesn't seem real anymore. Lost 3 5-draw HUSNGs ($263) to what else ... total bs. TTTxx v 77xxx etc.

Then I play some PL($1) full ring what I used to consider my best game. Here are my bad beat losses over 30 minutes.

55vAA allin on J45 (-$101) turn ace.
TTvAJ allin JTJ9 (-$92) river ace.
KKvQT allin on Q54 (-$22) river queen.
33v45 allin on 346 (-$16) river seven.
flop nut flush vs 2 players allin on K4Q4 (-$15) ... K.
[they have 45 and AQ ($97 sidepot)]

I am just going to short stack and earn rakeback, because this is not real poker being dealt anyway. The skill in the game is being neutralized by the bad beats. Why do they happen, "that's poker" ... maybe.

Another day, lost another K.

Lost $1,100 today. I came off a 5-day winning streak, then I took a break yesterday because I was really depressed about my life in general and went to sleep at 6pm.

Then this wonderful morning: ~$200 in SNGs, ~$300 in 5-draw, ~$600 in NL($1)(6-max). First I lose a pat flush to 7733x for $105 SNG, then I make a $160 mistake losing 999xx vs 34567, then in NLHE I make a $60 error JJvQQ and pretty much drain away another $500 hardly making or winning any hands.

I am up ~$1000 total on the year, mostly from bonuses (plus like another $800 in FPP value). If I am only going to make $10/hour playing poker I mine as well not play. I would rather sit in the sun, or go to the gym, or stare at the wall.

Lost 9/11 days.

I have lost 9 out of the last 11 days. This is by far my worst downswing in terms of number of days. There is no other way to describe what is happening except, "I feel like I am being cheated."

One example, I am shortstacking 6-max and I lose QQvAA AIPF 3 times in 5 minutes. Here is another example session today from NL($1)(9-max). Let's look at the 4 biggest losers:

-$113. JJvKK. Stack committed on J29 board ... K. 14%.
Three kings on the turn ... sound familiar from over 1 year ago?
-$49. AAvnaked flush draw on paired board ... you know what. 30%.
-$39. KKvK5s allin on turn ... you know what. 25%.
-$20. AKvAQ AIPF ... yah I can't beat AQ, 3-betting your UTG raise you brain dead maggot. 23%

Maybe not the best examples, but I have also been massacred in 10/20 limit razz, 5/10 omaha h/l and in PL($4) 5-draw to similar BS.

Blew 500 playing HU PLO.

I don't know why I can't have any self-discipline to not play that game. It is terrible, and now I am losing on the year including bonuses.

Losing streak over.

I had a win yesterday to break the seven day losing streak. It was a small win ~$200, but it feels great nonetheless.

I found something curious as well, NL($1)(50 BB min) tables are earning the same MGR/hour as the NL($0.50)(6-max) tables. Slightly more VPPs due to the 6x vs 5.5x, but I just found this to be very odd.

Dismal year thusfar.

I started the year out great.
I then make two $2500 cashouts.
I then proceed to lose 7 days in a row, about ~$2,000 below EV and running terrible in all other respects as well (like KKvAA 10 times and AAvKK 0 times, etc.).

Today I tested the luck with some short stack shoving at NL($0.50)(6-max) and in 1.7 hours I was ~$200 below EV which is basically the equivalent of net -10 flips.
Not sure what to do now.

He 3-bets me about 5 times. Then BS stacks me for $900 in pots in 2 minutes with AA>AK AIPF, then TT>QQ AIPF.

I have been running close to the worst I have ever run over the last 5 days. I am going to play some SNGs for a little while as almost all of my 2010 profits are gone.

Bubbled!

Played the $215, 5-draw and played great, but then bubbled in 5th place costing me between $500-$2200.

I am on my 5th consecutive down day in ring games too. Hoping things turn around.

Downswing continue.

Lost $550 at NLHE ring today.
Maybe it is the cashout curse (2 cashouts this week).
3 losing days in a row.

Getting my usual love with sets vs overpairs allin on the flop to get stacked by a 2 outer. Or the famous allin with ace high/no draw vs my overpair to spike their ace. Losing every flip is part of the deal too. Let's not forget KKvAA, AKvKK, AKvKK ...

After a great start to the year it is already time to re-evaluate.

BS creamated in 5-draw.

I have had great results in hold'em this month so far.

However, I got creamated in 5-draw the last 2 days winning like 2/20 showdowns and losing $400 in about 15 minutes. Either was a cold deck or they drew out. Of course I missed everything.

This has to be on my noplay list along with heads-up.

Day 2: Comeback sorta.

I recovered the losses, but am abused emotionally from all the 2 outers. I also made at least $300 of bad plays.

I am nearly done clearing the $150 bonus, got $60 more stellar rewards, and I fixed my PS notes file. I still can't 24-table the fast tables, but at least it is because of me and not my computer now.

Day 2: total BS.

Only played an hour for -$700.

So far I got stacked by 2 or 3 outers 3 times at NL($2)(6-max), for pots of $200 (AQvKQ-riverK, $300 (QQv99-turn9), and $400 (KKvAA allin on Kxx flop-riverA), and lost a flip for $450 (AKvJJ).

Getting real mad! $600 below EV in 1 hour.

Got 10k hands in, got 3175 VPP, got $40 stellar rewards. Going to make a deposit tomorrow to get the $150 bonus. The only bad thing is I lost all my player notes because the client keeps crashing on close.
