Best day ever at ring.

I had my best day ever in ring games today. This is after losing ~9 Sundays in a row, and also after losing 6 out of the last 8 days. I only played ~1,200 hands, so the $2,286 feels extra nice.

$2,132 under the staking limits.
$154 in PLO.

To illustrate how hot I was running, I even got 17th out of 360 in my $0.10 tourney (busting people allin with 65svTTvQQ etc.). My biggest winner in the ring games was QQvQ7 allin on a Q74 flop, and when the turn brought the flush (and the other Q was live as part of that flush) I thought I was a goner, but I held for the $1003 pot.

Stake Results (Week 3).

Week 3 was a disaster. If you consider my games that were not under the stake (especially PLO) it was even worse. Today's win of $1148 made the results look less scary and IMO is the beginning of things turning up.

Week 3: $354.95 loss makeup (17,308 hands, 28 hrs)
Week 2: $182.87 profit each (12,182 hands, 21 hrs)
Week 1: $723.05 profit each (2,735 hands, 6 hrs)

Day 20: +$2132.40 _1060 hands
Day 21: +$_181.25 __349 hands
Day 22: -$_970.30 __526 hands
Day 23: -$_978.10 __202 hands

Day 24: did not play today.
Day 25: did not play today.
Day 26: did not play on stake today (regrouping).

PT3 Allin-EV is broke.

This graph is worthless and broken.
Not only is it not calculating the street-by-street EV, I just found out that if you get allin and the other guy doesn't show his hole cards, then the EV=0 no matter the odds (ie. I got allin with AAvJT on Q9x board and the EV was 0).

I still have been running like dog shit, but I don't know or care at this point by how much.

Another session ....... another beatdown.

Two biggest losers of the afternoon session:
T7vAJ allin on 89J - 71%
AAvKK AIPF - 82%
These bad beats for big pots are the difference between winning and losing for the day. Another $400 below EV today at the staked levels of NL($2) and NL($4).

Here is the last 6 days of run bad. (even though I don't think PokerTracker is calculating it properly - I actually believe I am even farther below EV, because I think it is only calculating the street that the allin is on).

Would rather have $2,500 instead of this f'n graph.
Happy Thanksgiving!

More indestructible fish.

Here are my 2 biggest losers in my short session this morning vs. the same fish within 3 hands of each other.
Turn 5-outers with a hand that makes no sense each time.

AAvQ7o after he limp-calls 2 cold preflop.
AJv84o after he calls a raise preflop and a flop shove.

I am posting the EV total next to each result now ...
this is getting kind of ridiculous.

More run bad.

I was up $570 in NL($2) and NL($4)(6-max).

Then I lose (1) KKvJJ AIPF, (2) top pair vs river flush, (3) some stupid cold deck where I fold river, and (4) then there is a guy at NL($4)(6-max) overshoving preflop every hand 10 hands in a row and I can't get AK to hold for a $585 pot.

End up down $200. Super Annoying!!!

I played tight!

I got my VPIP down to 20.1% over a 5000+ hand session of full ring last night. I am very proud of my discipline in the beginning of fixing probably my biggest leak (was probably around 27% VPIP over hundreds of thousands of hands).

I like to have pictures or tables in most of my blog entries, but I can't do a PokerTracker screenshot since I am not on my home computer. So ... speaking of tight, here is the first image that comes up on Google Images:

Nice.

Stake Results (Week 2).

Put more volume in this week. I ran above EV in week 1 and below EV in week 2. I lost a $414 flip with QQvAK AIPF, and generally ran horrible at NL($4). I am happy that the week was positive at least after that huge losing day.

Big losing day.

$900 below allin EV.
Largely due to an allin for $470 with 55vKK on J52 ... K.

I probably should have quit, but then I played short-handed and heads-up with a guy (shaffrey) who repeatedly cold decked me and won EVERY single showdown, 7/7. That "cheater" won $1088 off me, it was super aggressive and I started getting allin light, but he kept holding the cards. Probably was some tilt in there, but it is hard to believe the same guy keeps holding over you that many times in a row (flush v flush, toppair v overpair, 60/40 AIPF, QQv99 AIPF ... that's 4.5 full stacks right there in about 10 minutes).

This has been my biggest losing day at hold'em this year.
Now I am super pissed and can't play.

WCG|Rider big mistake ... got a new stake.

WCGRider made a big mistake in his actions, but nevertheless it looks like it will turn out for the best. After posting on a discussion board the dispute most people took his side, because he has a good reputation there, wrote more eloquently, and bent the truth. In addition to the normal personal attacks on message boards, lots of people even said I would never get staked again.

However, at least some people must have read it and saw my side and I got another staking offer unsolicited. I accepted that stake, which was for a larger amount $5000 instead of $1000, does not have the max tables of 6 limit, and it not only allows NL($2) games, but NL($4) games when they are juicy.

Will report results from the stake daily in the blog.

Day 05: too busy to play today.

WCG|Rider is dishonorable.

The staker was WCG|Rider.

I sent him an email asking why he thought it was fair and that we would settle up tomorrow. In the end of the email I told him I was going to sleep. Instead he calls me up and says I have to get up out of bed right now and ship him the money.

So instead of having more controversy that is what I am doing right now, it is not worth $100 to me. Everyone should know about his character and doing business with him.

Poker and life downswing forthcoming for him IMO.

Staking dispute.

The staker decided today to quit the stake.
However, it was a 4-week agreement, that he ended after 2 weeks.

He 'bankrolled'' me with $1000, and I have sent him $598.40 in profits over the 2 weeks.

For ending the stake early I think I should get some sort of "bonus" (I suggested $100, but he disagreed), since an early ending was not part of the original agreement.

What do you think?

Cheated Sunday.

5 Sunday losses in a row.
Another $800 lost today (~$450 below EV).
I am really pissed, how come I didn't learn from the last 4 weeks?
