April Results.

Played lower volume again this month due to the second Vegas trip, but still managed to hit 100,000 Hold'em ring hands for the 4th consecutive month. I played a fair bit of Omaha and HL Stud, and a few touranments and S&Gs as well.

What is interesting about the ring results below? I played over 1000 hands at 22 different limits/game types. I don't know why I thought this would be a fun thing to do. Also, we can see that I am a loser and suck at limit hold'em.

The ring results for the month are below ($2700), tournaments/freerolls ($700), concierge/April fools promo ($4300), bonuses ($100), and non-holdem games ($500).

I earned 21,891 VPP in March and am at 87,342 for the year.

April: ~$8,300.
March: ~$3,300.
February: ~$1,800.
January: ~$3,400.

1.5 hours, -15 buyins of EV.

Played 1991 hands of NL($0.50)(6-max) to push me over the limit of 100k hands for the month, but it wasn't what I expected, losing 18 short stacks, 15 of them due to bad allin luck.
Any explanation? No not really, although I did just get a $4,258 credit for concierging my FPPs, first time I tried that. I am not sure why they didn't give me the other $0.77 but can't fight over everything.

The monthly results will be posted later today.

Licorace.

I just ate a whole bag of Twizzlers licorace. What a waste of 1500 calories. Here a a couple of bizarre hand histories.

This guy owned my soul, by not stacking off A9vAA on 7A994 board, probably due to watching the hand in Rounders where Mike McD lost his roll to Teddy KGB. http://www.cardschat.com/hand/7477

This guy owned my soul, calling a 3-bet shove with AQv52 on a 52T board ... TA. http://www.cardschat.com/hand/7478

New Vegas House.

As mentioned here, I looked at Vegas rental properties last month, and I went back to Vegas this week and closed escrow.

Monday: packed, bank, drove 5 hours, drop check at escrow, met potential tenants.
Tuesday: researched cabinets, bought refrigerator, bought cabinets, met a repair guy.
Wednesday: bought washer/dryer, bought a lot of repair items at Home Depot, met another repair guy, began repairs.
Thursday: bought more repair items, did more repairs, got an estimate for blinds, went to pickup escrow closing documents-but they were retarded, refrigerator delivered, met more potential tenants, met insurance agent.
Friday: finalized plans for last repairs, cabinet installation, and getting tenants moved in, met property manager, ordered mailbox key, drove 5 hours home.

I didn't set foot in a casino or get to play any poker while I was there, or visit my friend that lives there. Time was limited and I am extremely exhausted. This is my first rental property, lets see how it works and maybe I will get some more.

SNE: hongzhong.

I have played about 10,000 hands with this guy hongzhong a shortstacker at NL($1), and I see today he made Supernova Elite. What is curious about that? ...

The guy doesn't know how to play poker and is a long-term loser at 1 PTBB/100. That means at NL($1), to make SNE at ~0.33 VPP/hand, means to get there he played 3 million hands (1 million VPP).

So he lost $60,000 ($2/100*3,000,000) playing poker.
He made $107,000+ from Supernova Elite bonuses etc.

So a guy who doesn't know how to play poker, made more at poker than me last year!!

Heads-up: Got owned.

I got owned by a guy named deamoneye at NL($4) heads-up, he took $685 off me and totally outplayed me the entire match. Somehow I flopped 3 sets and never got paid, and he folded preflop to my FIVE AA/KK/QQ, 4 times a button fold. I also called down river bets that made no sense that I beat anything but a bluff winning just 5/19 showdowns in 354 hands with him.

It started out bad when I called a $100 river bet with A5vAJ on a 89A48 board on the first hand of the match, losing $180. Then I got allin with A9vKQ preflop and I didn't hold and had to rebuy. Here is possibly one of the worst calls I have ever made with 55vQ4 on a J4287 board. http://www.cardschat.com/hand/7317

Somehow I was down $855 total, after including my Omaha losses.

I was pissed, so I thought I would try to make a little recovery. I got lucky a few times at the lower level of NL($2), so I went back to NL($4) and got very lucky with this hand: http://www.cardschat.com/hand/7318 A4vT5 on JKQ5T board, for a full stack allin on the flop with him drawing to 1 out.

Ended the day down 85 cents, and it feels like I just won a ton.

6-max this month?

Have been playing 6-max so far in April (4 days).
The competition plays way too loose(even looser than me) and bad.
I am not sure if I will do it the whole month or not yet.

I also got another $127.50 for the freeroll today, and put a link to the freeroll cashes on the sidebar.
