It's value seems to be >$100k. 1 million VPPs = 3.5 million FPPs - 0.3 million FPPs spent on $28,000 of milestone bonuses = 3.2 million FPPs spent on bonuses for $0.016 value = $51,200. Then once hitting SNE you get $5k WCOOP entry, $10k WSOP main event entry, $10k cash = $25,000. Totals: $104,200. There is also approximately $2,800 in overlay value in the weekly freerolls if you play them all. Totals: $107,000.
This is all assuming they don't change the program, so I won't be able to decide until any possible announcement in December or January.
So how much play would this take to earn the 1 million VPPs?
1M/2080hrs = 481 VPP/hr for a standard work year.
Or 1M/261 days = 3,831 VPP/day over a 5 day workweek.
Or 1M/350 days = 2,857 VPP/day with taking 15 days off in the year.
I would obviously need to move up in limits and/or play way more hours/tables to hit these targets. I will have to do some experiments with earn rates to see if this is viable, but I am considering it.
I think if I could make >$100k in this program, and also >$50k in poker winnings, it is probably more valuable than the earnings/benefits at my job. I will see about the viability of this plan after doing experiments of point earnings at different levels, and also experiments with my stamina for this.

If you can do it man, go for it. You're basically losing a year of your life but the financial rewards are definitely there, and very smart about any possible changes to the program in Jan. Who knows.
The authoritative point of view, curiously..
I will not approve on it. I assume polite post. Especially the designation attracted me to be familiar with the whole story.
